What a find! Thank you Pitttsburgh yelpers for leading me to this wonderful restaurant!
The building looks like a house turned restaurant, with an array of colors inside, cute paintings on the wall, and a welcoming atmosphere. We arrived around 12:15pm on a friday afternoon. We waited 30 minutes but it was well worth it!
My boyfriend and I both enjoyed free refills on coffee :) He ordered the Salmon BLT and I ordered the Chicken and Brie Sandwich with a side of potatoes. We actually ended up switching plates because the Salmon BLT is more savory than the Chicken and Brie Sandwich.
Salmon BLT: One of the most AMAZING SANDWICHES I have ever had. The bread was toasted, the salmon was moist, crisp bacon with field greens and tomatoes made me a very, very happy customer.
Chicken and Brie Sandwich: I found the chicken a little on the dry side or maybe I was craving for some mayo like component to finish the sandwich a bit more. It's sweeter than an avg sandwich with the melted brie cheese and the thinly sliced apples. I may have found it just okay, but my boyfriend loved it!
side of Potatoes: I always order a side of potatoes at breakfast places if my dish doesn't already come with it. They were good but I needed to add my own salt and pepper.
Total plus tax and tip came to be $27.
I'm definitely going to come back for brunch again next time I visit Pittsburgh! This is a great choice if you're looking to catch up with a friend over a cup of coffee or if you want to find a good breakfast/lunch that isn't a greasy spoon kinda place.
