| - I almost signed a contact based on fraudulent information about a vehicle with this dealership! Today I was being helped by a salesperson, Issac, at the Auto Nation Used Car Sale. I was going over the details of a vehicle with Issac and decided to make a purchase based on the estimate he gave me. After all the paperwork was complete and I was meeting with finance to sign the contract, I noticed the model series was different on the contract than that on the offer paperwork. The vehicle was actually a base trim series not the highest upgraded series that was presented on the offer (a $5000 difference). When I confronted Issac with the difference, he claimed to have "never stated" the lower series was on the offer, even though I physically had the paper with his signature in my hand.
After arguing with Issac I spoke with his sales manager, Darell Cox. Darell stated that Issac was new and must have made a mistake. He offered 2-3 tanks of gas and a sun visor to make up for the mistake. This dealership tried to scam me out of $5000 and make up for it with a sun visor and a couple tanks of gas!
Furthermore, upon receiving the car facts on my trade in vehicle, Issac told me that it was involved in a serious accident resulting with a fatality in the vehicle. This fatality was the reason behind the $2500 difference between the kelly blue book value and the amount they were willing to give me on the trade in. When I was reviewing the car facts report on my trade in vehicle with finance, I asked the finance advisor how Issac was able to tell there was a fatality in the vehicle since I could not find it in the report. He informed me that you can not determine this information based on this report and that Issac must have been "Joking" with me.
These people are scammers. Beware! Read the contracts closely and double check that the VIN numbers are accurate on estimates, car facts, and contracts!
