  • About two years ago, I was new to the whole spa thing and went to all the popular spas in search for the perfect spa for me. Sigh. Another disappointment for the amount I paid and what a rip off that was. I came in for a facial and a body wrap, my usual at a spa like this. I walked in and the people at the front looked at me like I was lost. The people upstairs are ridiculously stuck up if you ask me, I told them I had an appointment, they told me to go downstairs. Gee, I guess I WAS lost, how the fuck was I supposed to know your ass is working the store and the real spa is downstairs as this was my first time coming??? Well, it turned out to be my first, last and only time there. Anyhow, I continue down, they ask for my name and give me a brief tour of the place. I awkwardly get undressed in the strange change room setup, get into my robe and continue to the sauna/steam room/whirlpool. For a spa associated to the beautiful Park Hyatt, this area of the spa is downright shameful, it's dull, dingy and dirty looking. I didn't stay in that area for very long and went back to the change room. The only only seats available in the change room are weird lounge chairs with curtains for privacy, it's also equipped with tv's and headphones. What a waste of space, why not improve the vanity area so people have an easier time getting ready to leave? My appointment time comes up so I walk to the tea room to wait. This room is very hectic by the way, people buzzing in and out on both sides. That room is supposed to be relaxing but it really isn't, at least not for me. Right on time, the first person comes out for my wrap. The wrap was nice from what I remember but my bubble burst when she lead me back out to the tea room to wait for another person for another treatment. I was totally baffled the moment there was any mention of getting up at all. What? Seriously? Huh? She didn't really explain either, just lead me out there like it was common knowledge... While I waited, still confused, I took the time to think about it. Is this how they run this place? The same person doesn't perform all the treatments that a person books? They switch rooms? I guess so... and I don't like it. The next girl comes out, we go to a different room, I get my facial, I get ready and then I leave. For the amount they charge for their services, I expected the facility to be in top notch condition and never have to move during or between treatments unless I need to use the washroom. Unless someone gets me a gift certificate, I have no reason to come back here. Gee whiz, is this a strange spa or what?
