| - This was the one Toronto brewery that everyone recommended to me prior to my arrival in the great country of Canada. Unfortunately, for me, it did not live up to the hype. Is it a cool-looking indoor/outdoor space next to the Rogers Centre and Ripley's aquarium? Absolutely. In addition, the Toronto Railway Museum provides a very nice entry to the brewery. You walk by neat-looking engines and cabooses on your way in. The brewery also gives a great-sized sample (about 5 ounces) to anyone who asks. However, to my surprise, this gigantic brewery in a very prime location in Toronto only brews one beer, a pilsner. It was a refreshing, light beer, but not the style I would expect a brewery to hang its hat on and very confusing when I tried to order something else. They had three food options the day I was there, so I would not plan to eat a big meal.
Also, you have to show up really early to tour on weekends (they sell out fast), and pay to tour. All-in-all, it is a bit of a tourist trap.
There are other great, smaller options that I found in Toronto, like Mill Street and Bellwood's, and I would recommend checking them out instead.
There is free wifi though for everyone without cell phone service!
