Yes indeed, this place makes living in Urbana bearable! They actually have the best coffee around (only Strawberry Fields' espresso drinks comes remotely close. They have free wireless which is great for working, but I do wish the tables were a bit bigger.
The food is good. They have a nice rotation of cold pasta salads. Their warm dishes made in-house are nothing to rave about, except the soups and quiches which are always something new and different and consistently excellent. Plus, they have a deal with Milo's next door where you can order off a select Milo's menu but eat it at Wines at the Pines. This is of course very appealing since Milo's can sometimes seem like a retirement home based on their demographic.
Their wine selection is really nice, and I am very impressed with their prices. I have been to a handful of the vineyards where they purchase from, and the prices are only slightly increased, I like this.
Overall, I really hope this place makes it, because it is an Urbana gem!
