Please never go to this doctor office! I moved from NC, in the process of looking for a Dr I figured I would give Caring for families a try. The staff is more concerned with their outside lives rather than doing their job. My first couple of appointments were not so bad. Later I received a bill for 200 dollars from them. I asked over the phone why I had received the bill and they said we cannot say and that I would need to go down there. (Every time there is anything to discuss, get used to going to their office and making an appointment, they will not tell you anything over the phone). They entered in my old insurance card and not my new one. I asked why I was not contacted about my insurance card not going through and their reply was we're not sure. And so the story goes I asked for my money back, being that they have scanned the new insurance card. They said they were unable to do so. A couple of months down the road I received a bill in the mail for 30 dollars for a missed appointment. I checked my calendar, missed calls voicemails, emails. Nothing from them. I never made a follow up appointment after giving them the 200 dollars. This place is rarely busy because the staff is incapable of doing their job. They are money hungry. I was seeing Dr. Whitten and after my first appointment I changed my Dr to Dr. Shaw. Dr. Whitten is not concerned with any problems that you may have. She is not what I would call a people person. If you enjoy being stared at with a scowl look and judged for asking what she can do about serious things (such as scoliosis) then she may be your Dr. She seems as if she hates her job and is only doing it for the paycheck. You are better off going to urgent care, at least urgent care is able to help you. If you have literally anything wrong with you she will send you somewhere else. I hope this review helped anyone looking for a great Dr and staff, because this isn't the place.
