  • I was married at THE Wedding Chapel in April 2013. We looked at several options for a Vegas wedding and ultimately decided on Mandalay Bay and I would do it again in a heartbeat! We wanted a wedding that was simple, no-muss, no-fuss but that would still be beautiful and classy. We looked at Bellagio, Venetian and Mandalay Bay as well as Chapel of the Flowers. THE Wedding Chapel offered us the most bang for our buck with the convenience we were after. We chose the Opal Shores package in the Gold Chapel on a Saturday. Our wedding coordinator was Kaylan Tracy. All our planning was done via email. This could be a little unsettling, but the response times were great and I always got answers to my questions. I even added on to our floral order the week of the wedding and had no issues. Everything just got taken care of. Just what we wanted. We had 13 people in attendance. THE Wedding Chapel is set up with separate areas for each chapel, so if there was anything else going on at the same time (3pm on a Saturday), I never knew it. I felt like the whole place was ours. Melissa was there to coordinate the ceremony and gave us the run-down beforehand so we knew what to do. The minister was very nice and professional in demeanor if not appearance (had a goatee thing going on) and he met with us separately before the ceremony as well. The piano player was good and the ceremony went off without a hitch. A couple of guests did comment on the noise being made by the photographer's shutter - can't you silence those now-a-days? Noticeable but not interfering. The photography after the wedding was relaxed and the photographer was helpful in posing everyone and setting up a good picture. I didn't feel rushed through that either and we were able to get more photos done than I had envisioned. Our photography viewing was set up for the next afternoon, and Cashman had the studio all set up for us with a brag book, framed 8x10 and video slideshow of our pics. The photos were great! Really came out nice. We liked them so much that we bought the DVD rights, which came in an additional package with some other prints. They do this cool enhancement and printing on metallic paper too. Here's the skinny on $: Opal Shores package: $1850 photo package with DVD, 2 8x10, ~70 4x6, 24x36, 16x20: $1700 V-Suite at THEhotel for 5 nights (you get 20% off) food & bev: $1500 Dinner for 13 at The Foundation Room: $900 = $5950 total for wedding, reception and honeymoon. Not too bad in my book.
