This place is beautiful, but Toronto just wasn't the city for me. Coming from a town in Kentucky, I found this place overwhelming. We pulled up and a Danny DeVito doppelgänger opened the car door and helped us with our bags. But then, the valet took our car away, and we had no clue where they took it. They wanted to get everything for you. There were no self serve vending/ice machines they would bring ice too us. The mini fridge was stock full of $20 sodas and liquor. I like to be able to go and serve myself once and a while. My dad left his jacket in the car and they said that they would go get it for us. But I wanted to know where the car was. But they wanted to go rummage around in our car to go get his jacket.
That was one of the main downsides. But the building is absolutely gorgeous and the employees are so generous and sweet. We saw two or three weddings while we stayed there and they were all magnificent. And the spa is amazing. This place doesn't have a pool which is another downgrade. I love to swim, it's my workout. They have a magnificent spa area and relaxation locker rooms, women's separate from the men's and the gym is wonderful! I had a pleasant stay :)
