Very disappointed in my experience. I had reserved a full size car and when I got to Avis they said they only had the smallest size car available. I reserved the bigger size on purpose so that I could take my family with me in the car. When I asked what they could do for me since they said they could do nothing for me. They acted like they didn't care. I called customer service and the first person I talked to said I had to make a new reservation and it would cost me Triple the amount since they were all low on cars. I explained to him that I had reserved this car a month in advance and I had called the place three times that week to make sure I had the car I wanted. He proceeded to tell me there was nothing they could do. I took the smaller car before they closed and I called customer service a second time. The next guy was a little more helpful and said that he would call around. It ended up being a nobody else around in the area had a car for me. I had to drive 40 minutes out of my way to go to the airport and he said that they would have a car for me. When I got to the airport they said that they didn't know what I was talking about. They said they had no cars for me. After explaining to them my situation and and how I had called customer service they just said customer service doesn't know. Finally they said okay I will see what we can do for you and magically they had a car I reserved. In total I spent about two and a half hours driving and talking to Avis. I'm very disappointed and hope that this comment will improve their business in the future. I'm also an avis preferred member and was expecting a complimentary upgrade not three size downgrade.
