  • Do not move in to this place anymore! First I would like to say this place use to be a great place to live. Management staff from the office clerks to the maintenance workers were all wonderful, they were quick to be helpful and very friendly. Sometime in the last year Dorchester Towers changed management. Supposedly it's the children of the former owner who took over, a daughter and son. Since there take over they got rid of the wonderful young ladies who ran the office, ( one quit.) And from what I heard she could not work for these new owners and there new rule changes after working many years here when things where good. Back to the new owners and the changes of Dorchester. Soon as they took over rent was increased 50 dollars. They said there reason of the increase came after comparing the rent cost with Dorchester and other local apartments. Well the other apartment they used as a comparison should cost more than Dorchester due to the beauty and amenities it has to offer. The hallways in Dorchester look dark and dirty, the apartments themselves are nothing to admire. I lived in Woodstock Georgia and paid almost the same rent and Dorchester looks ghetto in comparison. They use to take beautiful care of these grounds which they NO longer do. The maintenance men are NO longer as friendly and compliable as the ones they replaced. The spare event room that was used for Steelers games, bingo,and poker nights has now been established as a 100 dollar room to use by renting it. I'm sure for the new tenants this stuff does not matter,as they did not live here when things where good. But before you decide to rent here, look at other places first. There are a lot better places to live than Dorchester at the high price they charge.
