| - Not quite 5 stars only because there was some confusion on my bill and the parking lot is a complete nightmare (I live in a condo in downtown Chicago so I'm quite familiar with hard to get into spaces but this was ridic). However, the location of this, if you're a tourist and want to do the typical touristy stuff, is awesome.
Positives: CN Tower and other go-tos are within walking distance (about 10 minutes). We didn't even take a cab or public transit the whole time we were there because all of the stuff we wanted to see and some solid restaurants and bars were right there. The concierge was helpful and very polite. The rooms themselves were very roomy and nice and updated and clean. I would absolutely stay here again.
Negatives: The room didn't have a refrigerator and, while this certainly isn't unique to them, could push it up to five stars. Parking lot SUCKS. Also my bill fiasco (which they 100% rectified but just lowered the entire experience a tad) was that hotels.com had already billed me and then after I checked out, the hotel billed me. I'm not sure whether this was an error by hotels.com or the Hyatt, but it was just annoying. However, they reimbursed my parking to make up for it (holla). Bad part though is my sister's phone wasn't working (which is totally horrible Tmobile's fault) so she called downstairs to ask if she could make a local call within Canada (Tmobile had given her a number in Canada to call as her phone wasn't working) and they asked if it was in Canada and she said yes and they said just dial 1 and you're good (nothing about fees or anything and we looked in the book and there was nothing about the phone either). So she spoke with Tmobile literally for about three minutes and when we checked out there was a CAD42 charge on the bill...WTF? Number one I cannot believe a three minute call could be anywhere near that, number two their phone rates or policy wasn't printed anywhere in the room, and number three we specifically called downstairs to ask about dialing and they just asked if it was in Canada and didn't mention the astronomical charge that would be applied (which, if you're asking about using the phone, common sense (or courtesy) would tell you to advise the customer about the charge, which ended up being because the number was in a different province, but we didn't know that). They ended up waiving it but we just felt that was shady, hence the lack of 5 stars. But overall a good spot and would stay at again.
