  • I came to the Le Mont for an event with about 35 people. First impressions when I walked in was that it could use an update, but then I sort of found the dated decor charming and I think it plays into the character of the place. There's no denying the amazing view of Pittsburgh. If you are visiting from out of town, this could be a great place to stop for a drink and some quick city shots. With that being said, be prepared to pay a pretty penny for a drink. I had a glass of Pinot Grigio and it was $10, I just didn't think it was worth it. On to the event- the servers were awesome and you could tell they loved the restaurant and were truly passionate about what they do. I really appreciated our servers knowledge and engagement. I, sadly, was less than impressed with the food. For the price everything is, I was expecting to be blow away and I wasn't. I had the salmon with a bourbon maple glaze. While the salmon was cooked to my liking, the glaze tasted more like a maple syrup. Maybe it was just a personal opinion, no one else at the table got the salmon. Lastly, desert for me was creme brûlée. The sugar topping was not caramelized as it traditionally is, but merely plain brown sugar sprinkled on top. Again, maybe it was just a personal thing. Appreciated the event but I'm not running to go back just yet.
