  • When the Mobil station on Thomas and 68th street closed down, I lost my car service center. The guy that worked there was pretty cool and fixed all the little problems with my older car, but didn't charge me an arm and a leg. I was kinda sad to see it go. It was also the most convenient gas up place that was supposedly quality gas. Anyway - the next time my car needed something, it was fairly major. I needed to find another service center. After some research and calling around, I settled on Marshall's. I found their labor to be quite cheap compared to other places and yet they used higher quality parts, so they were more than other places. It balanced out in the end, but I think I saved more money going to Marshall's. I didn't feel like I was getting raped or whatever... they were really nice to me and invited me to call around and price shop and whatever else. They didn't do unnecessary repairs or suggest anything that the car didn't really need. I was pleased as punch actually. The reason I give it 4 instead of 5 though is because I sent a friend there (a female) and she said she didn't have the same experience I did. I really don't think there are any auto repair places that earn 5 stars unless money is no object. It's always going to be a struggle between good value and quality work and parts. I think this place is pretty good though and I would send any of my friends to them. I ended up buying a newer car a few years ago, so I don't really go there anymore. The handful of times I did go there though, I can't complain.
