  • I was really excited to try this place, but I left feeling pretty disappointed. FOOD: The cucumber martini was nothing special - lukewarm with a sliced cucumber floating in it (our waiter was also off in the kitchen for awhile, and I watched my drink sit at the bar). The week before I had been over to Kabuki, and their cucumber mojito was amazing. I can't help but to compare since both places are in Tivoli. My veggie burger was decent, but my husband's turkey burger definitely felt like something that was thawed out and put on a bun. Once again, just down the street we had burgers at Bachi Burger (they just opened on Sahara and Ft. Apache), and they were outstanding. Thus, restaurants need to make sure their products are outstanding every time because it's easy to just go somewhere else nearby that does the same thing ten times better. SERVICE: There seemed to be so much staff working that they didn't know what to do with themselves (it wasn't that busy, and it was happy hour). Staff were hanging out by the bar, and people from the kitchen were coming out and kind of hanging out in the restaurant area. This ruined the atmosphere in the restaurant for me because there literally were more staff hanging out than patrons. Also, the manager was standing right next to me counting a till of money for everyone to see - it was really awkward - I kept thinking if someone runs in to rob this guy, I'm sitting right next to him. If this place were better managed (less staff scheduled and better trained to be more cognizant of the restaurant patrons), I think it could be a great place.
