  • I love the Keg on a whole and can always count on them for a great steak. That being said...I went to the Keg mansion downtown a few months ago and had the best steak I've ever had in life (Chicago style Rib steak Medium rare). I order the same thing every time I go to the keg and have realized now that it is very hit and miss. I went to this location last week and my Chicago style was not very Chicago and my steak was medium instead of medium rare. If this was Jack Astors or some other place I would let it slide, but I expect more from the Keg. But don't get me wrong, the food was still delicious and GREAT service. Ask to try the 3 cheese butter with the bread that they bring out.
