  • I learned a valuable lesson on my last visit to Don & Charlie's. If you want good, old-school service, you need to have an old-school server. This last time, we had some younger chick and she wasn't very good. The time before last, our server was a class act. Properly spaced courses, sweeping crumbs off the table, drinks out quickly, etc. I realize this place is hardly fine dining but that level of service in a casual environment is what is (was) charming about this place. It was disappointing to see how inconsistent they can be.
