  • This was the first time at Sushi Wa for my wife and I. We received excellent service from the moment we walked in. Our server seated us and served us tea very promptly. We placed our order and when the first item arrived we were a bit puzzled trying to figure out if we had actually ordered it, only to later find out that it was a complimentary deep fried tuna appetizer on the house! Everything just got phenomenally better from here. The Geisha roll was fabulous and midway through the meal, Chef Joseph personally made a stop at our table to chat with us and wrote down our names. He was pleased to find out that it was our first time at the restaurant and offered us the most amazing mango ice cream with honey cornflakes on the house! Once we paid our bill at the counter, he personally walked over to say goodbye to us (he remembered our names!); offered us candy; walked us out the door and waved till we got in the car! At this point, in a state of complete euphoric excitement, my wife and I looked at each other trying to process what had just happened! The experience was almost unbelievable since it's so rare to find people like Joseph these days, with a genuine commitment to serving customers sincerely. I'd highly recommend anyone reading this to go check out Sushi Wa. Hands down, the best sushi restaurant in the North York area!
