  • HORRIBLE experience last Tuesday early evening.... This is not a place where customer experience is the focus! They act like it's a privilege for YOU to be in their store, and you must have all the time in the world just like their employees do (i.e. to goof around/talk to each other in the corner instead of help customers!). I ended up ordering a much nicer costume on Amazon for less money. Amazon may not be local, but they put customer service first. (Any time I've ever had a problem...rare...I've gotten an apology and a free month of Prime. Not the case at Easley's.... keep reading if interested in details) Details of horrific customer experience: I am someone who generally goes out of my way to shop local (case in point, I live in Cave Creek, and I WAITED to do my costume buying while downtown for another purpose so that I could go to Easley's instead of a Party City or Spirit. However, I'm not very familiar with the area and my phone mapping sent me into the alley way behind the store, where in my haste I parked in an employee parking space by mistake (I just saw "Easley's" and was SO happy I was at the right place). My daughter (12) had actually fallen asleep on the long drive down and when I woke her, she said she didn't feel well and wanted to stay in the car. Thus, I locked her in and told her I'd be quick/call me on my cell if you change your mind. I went into store and was impressed but a little overwhelmed by the selection. A group of 5 employees in yellow shirts was all standing and chatting in a corner of the store. I wandered looking confused for several minutes....no one approached me.... I finally had to go INTERRUPT their conversation to ask for someone to point me to the right section of costumes for what I was looking for. I got a half-hazard "over there" with pointing to an area, and they went back to conversation. I then had to wrestle with costumes that were so packed in it was hard to find what I wanted, determine size etc. I found a couple and noticed dressing rooms near where employees were having their pow-wow... I went over and stood directly there...and they ignored me. I again had to interrupt and ask if I could just use any of them. After deciding to purchase, I went up to register. No one up there. Had to go get an employee. She starts ringing up transaction just as my cell rings. My daughter is upset: "Mom, the car alarm is going off because I was getting out to come in to store and these people are yelling at me about being parked here." (I turn off car alarm with remote, and tell her stay put, I'm checking out now.) Just then the woman who is apparently the owner of Easley's comes up and says "IS THAT YOUR WHITE CIVIC IN THE BACK? And flipping out because I'm parked in an employee space that she NEEDS for an employee! At this point, I lost it...and said something to the effect of "YOU MEAN ANOTHER EMPLOYEE TO STAND AROUND?? She told me I was in the WRONG because I parked in one of her employee spots and that SHE DOES NOT WANT CUSTOMERS LIKE ME. WISH GRANTED! I got my money back, left and will never return.
