I just don't understand why this place gets good reviews or how they are still in business. I have been in Scottsdale for 8 years and passed this place countless times. Friends told me this place is not good but I decided to try it myself.
It was a Thursday night and not too busy. Apparently they weren't busy on Wednesday because the meat in my burrito and my rice were left overs from Wednesday if not Tuesday. The meat was old and extremely dried out. My rice was hard. They also don't use seasoning. Not only was it old but there was no flavor at all.
There are plenty of good Mexican restaurants not too far from this one. Save yourself the grief and find another place to eat.
This is a follow up to the Manager who felt the need to resopnd and tell me that I'm wrong. I have in fact had New Mexican style food before both in the valley and Santa Fe. The food had NO seasoning. Second the rice was old and dried out. It was actually hard. That is not New Mexico style that's just old. I had a shredded beef burrito. The meat is in fact not cooked to order as you would suggest because it would take too long. The meat was so overcooked it was completely dry. It sat in broth or on a steam table all day. Please don't confuse users as to New Mexican as it has nothing to do with your poor food quality.
