We usually come here several times a year when we don't want to go to the ayce sushi bars. This last visit convinced me that this place really is going downhill and it will be a good long while before I come back.
Service is adequate, but the food is sorely lacking. In the past, I have noticed that the nigiri sushi is not being filled regularly even though the "sushi chef" is standing right behind the empty plate looking at it for what seems a good 10-min on the lunch rush.
Yesterday, my wife and I noticed that the rice on nigiri sushi seems to have gotten a bit bigger, while the fish is now paper thin.
They also had a soup called "beef soup." It was very spicy and the taste was not pleasant. It looked like something that their Hispanic "chefs" put together and set out on the buffet line. There was nothing Japanese about that soup whatsoever and after a few sips we stopped eating this altogether.
Also, putting the wasabi into squirt bottles was just a bad idea. You could tell peoples frustrations of trying to get the wasabi to come out.
Are they on a cost cutting measure? Who knows. I will stick to the ayce sushi bars from now on.
