| - My parents, the bf and I stopped in here for dinner while on vacation in Phoenix. The place has a bakery side and a restaurant side, but really the restaurant side looks like they just took an empty space next door and put some tables and chairs in it.
I had bought a Groupon for 2 appetizers, 4 entries, and 2 shared desserts for a meal for four. The wait for the four of us was over an hour before we got our appetizer. Granted, they were relatively busy, but there were only two waitresses servicing the entire restaurant. There must have only been one cook, because it took another 30 minutes before we got our entrees. Other tables who had been seated after us got their food and left before we got our second appetizer. I hate to say the service was terrible because our waitress was truly apologetic about the wait, but the owner should consider hiring on more help.
The food was good, but it might have been because we were just so hungry by the time we got our food. The portions are INCREDIBLY large; we literally had 5 to-go boxes to take all of our leftovers home, so order lightly and share. The menu is EXTENSIVE with lots of options. The desserts were delicious; if I lived in Phoenix, I would definitely go back to grab some pastries. As for dinner, I'd probably do a drive-by first to make sure the restaurant is empty for more attentive service or go only if I had a lot of time to spare.
