This rating is for the hotel and conference center...
I was torn between a 3 and a 4 rating. The main thing I was thinking about was value. Of course, this is a beautiful hotel. It should be for the rates they charge! I'm not so sure it was worth it, though. It seemed overpriced. Here are some of the specific pros and cons:
PROS: Nice, spacious rooms with a comfortable living area, a desk area, and a large bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower stall. There are 3 TVs if you are into watching TV.
The housekeeping staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
The fitness center is available for no extra charge (except for the "resort fee" that everyone has to pay). Most of the equipment is in good working order.
The malls and common areas are very nice. The restaurants are good, though expensive.
For the most part, the convention center rooms are nice and spacious.
CONS:
The fitness center has limited hours. This is Las Vegas! Closing at 8 pm seems ridiculous.
The downstairs between the casino and the convention center was always stuffy and smelled like one big fart (constantly - every day).
The food in the convention center was OK but not great. It wasn't particularly tasty. I'm sure it was over priced.
There is no refrigerator and no coffee maker in the room. There is a stocked bar. If you touch anything, you pay.
The beds are squishy. I don't "do" squishy beds. I found it difficult to sleep.
The people directing traffic in the front of the hotel are super-rude and arrogant.
So, overall, I'd probably come back for the common area mall and restaurants. I doubt I would stay here again. I just don't think it was worth the money.
