| - We had 2 issues: first, Neal was not available for training sessions for people that work; his weekends are booked in advance, and the wait was quite long. Secondly, although Neal appears to be a very nice person, and might be good with some dogs, his style of dog training is not a one-size-fits-all. My 1 year old Irish Wolfhound became very fearful after the 3rd training session. Due to the continuous use of the shock collar and Neal pushing him too far, his personality changed and he started to get aggressive. We stopped the training to see if that was the issue, and it was. That is when we found out that this extremely expensive training (we purchased the $1500 one for 6 lessons) was non-refundable. No where in the contract does it state that, however, Neal refused to provide a refund for the unused lessons. He did buy back the shock collar, but no money back for the lessons that we did not use. So Beware; and be sure that using the shock collar will not change your dog in a negative way. Do your homework on them. Our dog is much less aggressive since we stopped the shock collar type training; however, it took quite a while before he calmed down. Shock collars training is a very negative method of training.
