I was visiting Toronto on holiday and was excited to hear that Ladurée in Yorkdale was serving high tea. Unfortunately, I wish I had done more research before going because I was severely disappointed in the quality of the food that Ladurée seems to pride itself on. The finger sandwiches were made with bread that tasted like stale white Wonder bread, and the other pastries were also quite dry and unremarkable. Definitely NOT worth the $50. Service was also inattentive and quite slow even though the salon was not particularly busy. The only tolerable things during my experience at Ladurée were the macarons, tea, and the aesthetically pleasing environment.
Skip the high tea, stick to the macarons.
