| - Been coming here for quite a while. Went there on a Friday at 4:00 for the happy hour. First thing I noticed was the remodel, which is nice, but in my opinion it totally ruined the "charm" of the restaurant. Yeah it's nice, but now it looks like every other wannabe trendy sushi restaurant. Second thing I noticed was the ridiculously loud top forty pop being played. I couldn't hear the person across from me because Rihanna was blasting so loud! It was surreal, I felt like I was at a weird club which happened to serve sushi. The service has gone down as well. My friend asked for a to-go container of the sauce she had and our server didn't know what she was talking about and came back with salad dressing. I was getting so frustrated because I couldn't hear a damn thing, and how do you not know what sauce it was? It was the only sauce that came with our meal. I finally had to describe what dish we ordered and that we wanted the tempura dipping sauce. She came back with the sauce and our bill; I wasn't done. I wanted another beer and my friend wanted to order dessert. I spent 90 bucks there and won't be back. Such a shame, the food is alright, but it's such a frustrating dining experience now, just not worth it anymore. If it's not broken (and it wasn't) then don't fix it. I suppose they wanted to attract a younger and more "hip" crowd, but hello?!?! The demographic of the area isn't that. Perhaps it's working though, as we left I saw six half dressed twenty somethings walking in. This place isn't Ra, and that's why I always liked it. I hate giving bad reviews, but I spent a lot of money there for subpar food and loud crappy music.
