It had been a while since we've been here so the kids were excited to go after we got haircuts next door. I was paying when my younger son accidentally dropped his froyo face down as he was taking it off the scale. The young woman behind the counter tip-toed and saw what had happened and disappeared into the back room without a word. My son was about to cry and I told him accidents happen and to get another while I cleaned up. She came out when my son got his replacement froyo (by default, he placed it on the scale) and she told me it was $5.62. I was like, what? The few times my kids have accidentally spilled or dropped something, it was always refilled or replaced for free. She told me they are really strict here and they have to account for everything that is dispensed. I was shocked but didn't want my son to feel any worse than he did so I paid and asked for the paper towels to finish cleaning up the mess. She said she would bring a mop so I let her do her thing. Another group witnessed what happened and they were equally surprised she made us pay and mentioned that it makes them think twice about coming here. I know it was an accident but spending $18 on two froyos is something I regret.
