  • I would never go in there again. I was only there for about ten minutes and left. I went two weeks ago on Women and Trans Sunday, looking to change the stem on the handlebars. The woman at the front gave me wrong info about the size of stems and also tried to force my bike into the bike rack at the front of the store, starting to bend the fender. Instantly, you could tell there was no knowledge of mechanics at all. Multiple times, in the middle of conversation, she would break off to talk to someone else, or to stop another male from entering to shop, very unsure of herself and unsuccessfully being confrontational with men. She told me that someone would have to accompany me downstairs to look at used parts, then never returned. I went to the back of the store another very young woman asked what I was doing there and did I have a bike there. What is this, a secured vault? Every time a male came by, the woman at the front ran over like a Jack Russell Terrier eager to "protect the space" from excess testosterone, the main concern of the day. The best is yet to come..... An older man was at the store to DONATE a lot of bike parts, the woman would not let him into the store to "protect the space", he had to bring the parts and hand them over the threshold. There was a sudden, horizontal downpour, with lightning and thunder, the man came just into the doorway and this woman told him he had to go back outside so he didn't contaminate "the space". He's standing there under a 12 inch awning getting soaked. Here he is donating his time and delivering parts and he's told to stand outside in a thunderstorm because he is male. This place is drenched in outdated political correctness which has taken precedent over bike mechanics. It was shameful and embarrassing, reverse discrimination at it's worst. Imagine a men's only bike shop that made a woman stand out in a thunderstorm? No, it wouldn't happen.
