  • I love local coffee shop culture in PGH! But then I am a bit too spoiled by all the hight quality coffee shops in town... To be fair, commonplace serves good coffee. Was kinda disappointed when I went the first time in June, because I was expecting something even better then TD for some reason. The foam in my latte was heated too long (thus too firm and too hot), and the spro was chalky. I decided to give them a second chance tho, since there're so many good baristas working there. The latte significantly better this time, without any of the issue I had in the first visit, plus their interior design got a bit better as time goes by. Still not a place I would come all the way from highland, shadyside, or lawrenceville for a cup of coffee, but it's definitely a great choice if I am around the area.
