My 10-year-old dog was running a fever and lethargic on a Sunday afternoon--another pseudo pregnancy and she was lactating again!. We took her to VCAs facility for emergency care. The staff was very nice, the facility is very clean--however the veterinarian that saw her made us feel inadequate with his attitude and accusations that she wasn't getting the proper veterinary care and we perhaps were not authorizing enough tests. After leaving her with them overnight for care, her bloodwork came back beautifully. They could find no problem and were therefore, treating her for a UTI. She was sent home with antibiotics and an OVERABUNDANCE of pain medications. The bill was $2,000 and they offered to spay her for approximately $1,800.
Now you would expect a follow up phone call to see how she was doing--THEY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER.
NEVER again!!!!!!!
