  • I had an underground slab leak in the hot water plumbing somewhere between the hot water heater in the garage and the kitchen. I called four other plumbers for estimates, and these ranged from $900 to $7200, as one guy said it would best to repipe both the cold and hot water lines to the entire house. James came over and was reluctant to give me a firm estimate as he said that he could not be sure what the job entailed until he opened up the wall. He wanted to charge me by the hour to diagnose the problem. I was a little bit skeptical of this. However, James estimated that he could complete the job in as little as 4 hours. So, I hired James for the job. He found the leak quickly, with only one hole cut in the drywall. He did have to cut other pieces of drywall to reroute the piping through the wooden studs. To my delight, he completed the project in about 3 hours and the cost was well under my other estimates! Wow! He will also be called to install a new kitchen sink for us, and to recess the gas line to our new range. James is very flexible in pricing, and is easy to communicate with. I recommend that you call James of Spyder Plumbing to estimate your next plumbing job!
