| - After 5 years of going to a great nail salon every other week or so, they decided to sell the business, so I had to search for a new spot. I decided to try Harbour Nails as they are down the street from me. Big mistake.
I called the day before to book an appointment for 11am. I arrived on time to see 2 occupied nail technicians. The one looked up and asked me if she could help me. I told her I had an appointment, an 11am appointment, she told me to have a seat beside the person she was working on and that she'd be with me in a minute. That 'minute' turned into 22 minutes. I sat there looking unimpressed while the nail tech jibber jabbered on with her client, even asking her if she was on instagram. They both whipped out their phones and began to show each other pics! I'm waiting! Flagrant lack of respect for other people's time!
On to the meat and potatoes... sub par nail job. I asked for square oval, which one hand was - the other hand on 2 fingers she did 2 short almonds! She blamed me by saying that I said they were longer than the other hand. I said, length aside, square oval and almond are 2 different shapes! The finished product is uneven with striated paint. They also did my nails on the thick side. I'm so embarrassed.
When I left, I noticed a big hunk of stuff under my nail. I had to go back to have her grind it away. When I went back, she told me to have a seat and wait! As if! I told that idiot to do it right away as I already waited 22 minutes earlier.
I will need to get my nails done in a few days, I know it. As someone who's been getting their nails done on a regular basis for almost 15 years, I can tell when it's a shit job.
