  • My wife and I actually found out about Bold Missy in the American Airlines magazine (as the US's first female owned brewery) on the way to our honeymoon, so obviously we had to check it out when we got back. It is tucked away at the "far end" of NoDa, but there are more shops and stores being built that way. Like most places, there is a main bar and a lot of seating. They have a lounge section as well with some nice cushioned chairs. A large roll-up garage door leads out to the front patio when the weather is nice. All of there beers are named after pioneering women (Amelia Earhart, Maria Von Trapp, Lisa Frank, etc). I had the Surf Star, a west coast IPA. Simply put, I love anything with mosaic hops. My wife got a flight with the Find A Way wheat ale, the Surf Star, the Hug Machine coffee brown, and the Trapper Keeper sparkling saison. All three that I had not already tried were good, although I'm not as big a fan of wheats as I used to be. The tap room food menu also looked very good. Some flatbreads and pretzels, but the "Bruno dogs" looked delicious. A few different spins on your normal hot dog. They have I believe four flagship beers and several rotating taps, so we're looking forward to heading back and trying out some Bruno dogs and new offerings!
