This is the sister shop to Millie Creperie in Kensington. It's located on a small side street off of Spadina and is a difficult find unless you're using Google Maps on your phone OR have a Mapquest printout (anyone do that anymore?)
It is a small shop, almost dollhouse-like with white interiors and pastel colored dessert displays. It seats about 6-9 people - I believe there were three little tables and a couple of chairs. And it is known for its French-Asian fusion desserts. Now, I am a fan of French desserts and have a sheer dislike for Asian desserts - so I have always been in two minds about this place and I left the place with the same thought. The cake I ordered, although good, didn't have flavours jump out at me.
My order - A matcha tea which tasted like the stuff I buy from T&T. And a Milk Chocolate and Caramel Souffle Cheesecake - I didn't taste the milk chocolate or caramel, sadly. It tasted more like a tiramisu and the flavours were very subtle.
What I did enjoy was a couple of bites from my friend's matcha cheese tart.
Please note that my review is personal preference dependent. I just don't have a liking for subtle desserts. I can see a lot of people enjoying Millie. I may return for the crepe cake someday and end up ordering a cheese tart.
