| - My family and I stayed at this Embassy Suites for our weekend getaway to Pittsburgh. Overall, we had a very nice stay! You can tell this place is on the newer side.
We had a large suite that had two separate rooms, two bathrooms, and a pullout couch for five of us. Amid those, you can find nice flatscreen TVs, a mini fridge, coffee maker, and a beautiful city view from the 16th floor. What more could you ask for? None of the bathrooms were inside the rooms and there was only one shower, but it definitely did the job for us.
It's a bit confusing navigating the hotel as it houses only the second half of a tall historic office building, with separate elevators from the offices that you need a room key to access. The lobby, bar, and breakfast area is all located on the top floor. There's free breakfast in the morning and free drinks and food in the afternoon at the Manager's Reception. Score!
The hotel is nicely situated in the heart of downtown, close to a lot of great landmarks if you're just visiting the city for fun or hitting up a sports game. Complimentary wifi just adds icing on the cake!
Overall, I'd definitely recommend this hotel to people looking for a good spot to stay. +1 for Pittsburgh!
