My first time at this Urgent Care. Wait time was very short. I went due to a Stray Dog bite. The PA was outgoing and seemed like she knew what she was doing. The bite could not be stiched or closed due to its siza and lack of excess skin. The assistant on the other hand.... OMG! He came into the room already wearing gloves. He was going to give me a Tetnus shot and clean out the wounds. He opened a bandaide and stuck it on the back of the glove. I informed him that I wanted him to put on a fresh pair of gloves. He did so reluctantly. Then asked "What did I do with the Bandaide?" I let him know that it was tossed with his gloves, he then looked in the trash can. I said "really." Then he went and got a new bandaide. After my shot he came back in the room to inquire which arm did he give it to me in? I am sorry this lack of experience frightens me. Upon recieving verbal instructions from PA, I was given printed instruction that were completely opposites of one another. Which do I trust, verbal or written? I am confused. Don't think I will be going back, should have just gone to the ER.
