  • Carowinds has a great collection of thrill rides. Intimidator, Fury325, and Afterburn are the three main rides and all are fantastic. I went on a Sunday in April and walked on nearly every ride during the first two hours of the park opening. In fact, I stayed on Afterburn for 5 straight rides before someone showed up in my lane to get on. Later in the day, the longest I waited for any ride was 15 minutes. It is easy to get around the park too. There are a lot of fun rides, yet it doesn't take forever to get from one to another. The parking is close to the entrance as well and the staff was really nice and friendly. Having been to many amusement parks, Carowinds is in my top 5.
