  • Rudy's! This was always my go to bbq place when I lived in Texas. We were traveling through Phoenix and Rudy's popped up on my Yelp radar....omg omg got to have some Rudys! I love thier set up...when you walk in they have the country store and tacos. Usually you can stop by in the morning and choose from a variety of breakfast tacos. Theres always an employee asking if this is your first visit to Rudy's. It can be confusing for first timers. As you walk the order line you can pick up a soda or beer from the cooler. Shiner Boch is big in Texas so that's why its represented in thier coolers. You can also get sweet or unsweetened tea and fountain drinks. When it comes to brisket....never get lean it will not be pleasing. Always order the extra moist, it's got the best flavor and if you're lucky you'll get some bark (charred) . I like to make white bread sandwiches of the brisket with Cole slaw on top or pickles and onions. Pork ribs and pulled pork are awesome too. The are plenty of cold and hot sides. Your plate consists of a sheet of waxed paper. A selection of sauces is on the table. Come hungry and leave full...but leave room for cobbler and ice cream!
