We went here after another place was sold out of lau lau. This place is more asian-style than hawai'ian mixed plate with traditional food.
We came with 5 people. I got the bulgogi plate, 3 people got kalua pig, and 1 got chicken teriyaki skewers. We also got tempura veggies. The people running the restaurant were very nice and very busy.
We got salad and then miso soup. The salad was tasty but had too much dressing and the miso soup was okay, but refreshing. I got the bulgogi and it was really good. It came with macaroni salad on the side but I think it had too much mayo. The tempura was very good and crisp to perfection. I also got a hawai'ian pineapple orange drink as well. I tasted a bit of the kalua pig and it was nice, moist, and smoky.
Only thing that could have made it even better was having haupia or malasadas. I was craving some of that.
