  • This place can be very cool and also frustrating at the same. The cars that operate on this incline are private operated. The advantages to this is that they keep things as they were many many years ago. The disadvantages to this incline is that it is privately owned and they operate like it is 100 years ago. Many tourists come to this incline, which is understandable, seeing how it has a lot of history. However this place only accepts cash and only accepts exact change (one way fares = $2.50/adult, $1.50/child)... There is a large glass box that you have to jam cash into. On 90 degree days when you are trying to just get home and a bus full of people with no change stand infront of you, I wish that they took cards, or there was a express line for people with transit cards! Hopefully the owner reads this review! I know I am not the only daily commuter that feels this way! The morning staff is very friendly and you can tell that they try to make it as easy as possible to try to get you to were you need to be on time. I will also throw in this review that the cars are NOT climate controlled. In the summer when 13+ people are packed in this thing, expect it to turn into a sauna. Cool spot. Please Please Please think of a way to make this more enjoyable for local commuters! Some people are opting for the bus and Ubers due to the inconvenience.
