Okay, so I'm a big Keller fan. I also own the Bouchon book and have cooked out of it many times (including the FO soup you're all just dying over). I've also cooked out of TFL but, again, I digress.
We had a meal and my plate was covered with truffles. I'm not talking little itty bitty dustings, I'm telling you that my plate was COVERED in truffles. It was truffle heaven. I think I may have danced a little. No, actually I KNOW I danced a little. Those little happly gnudies weren't nudies. They were dressed in truffle and butter and herb. And I'm dancing a little again just thinking about this experience. The only way it could have been better is if they sprinkled them on my plate while I watched. Make it rain, chef. Make. it. rain.
The oysters were lovely, the steak frites as expected, the desserts divine and the bill? Not even half of what I paid at Per Se for lunch. It could be called a freaking bargain.
