So for my birthday I received a mini split A/C system for my garage because I'm a big gear head and spend most of my time in the garage. I started calling different companies in town to see what they would charge to install it. After 4 different companies said they don't install user supplied systems I called paradise air on 06/06/2016. I asked the very nice lady on the phone if they install user supplied A/C systems. She said she would have to put me on hold and check with their head service tech. After a few seconds on hold she said yes they do. That they charge $89 an hour. I was super excited that I found what seemed like a great company that would install it. She needed some more info from me to give me an exact quote but we set up an install date of 06/10/16 (4 days away) between 8-10am. I called my boss and got the morning off because I wanted this done asap. I called her back that same day with the info she needed for the exact quote. She told me that she would relay it to her tech and call me back with a quote. Never received a call that day back from her. Never received a call from her the next day (06/07/2016). Didn't even receive a call from her the following day (06/08/2016), hell I didn't receive a call the day before the install (06/09/2016). So I called them on 06/09/2016 to confirm the appointment. Well a different lady answered the phone who was also very nice but she couldn't find my appointment time. Well after being on hold for a minute or so I reach the original secretary I spoke with who told me that they can't install user supplied A/C systems. Well that info would have been good to know 3 DAYS PRIOR before I took a half day out of work and changed my schedule. It's one thing if this company called me back that day of or the day after to tell me they changed their mind. It's completely different when I have to call them so they can tell me they changed their minds. I have a feeling I would have been waiting Friday morning with no one showing up at my door.
