  • Pip pip and cheerio. I had never been to Brit & Chips before but had always heard good things. Don't get me wrong the food was good but it all kind of tastes the same. We had the Haddock in maple syrup batter and Hake in Orange Crush Batter and really couldn't tell them apart. The real flavor came from the dipping sauce. One thing I did really like was that the fish is very lightly battered so you do get a really nice piece of fish with very little fried exterior. I also tried the he tandoori popcorn shrimp appetizer and that was excellent. Overall if you like fried stuff, this is a great place to try but you might as well just close your eyes and point to a fish on the menu since the flavor profile will be the same regardless of what you pick.
