| - Fall arrived promptly in Montreal for my Labor Day visit. The sky was grey, the leaves were turning, and I was California Dreaming. No Piknic Electronik at Parc Jean-Drapeau. It would have been like Woodstock. So, I got my chill vibes at Bota Bota in the Old Town, a spa on a boat.
They discount the water course in the morning. I arrived an hour and a half before my one hour massage with Adam R. I highly recommend him! He understood my shoulder injury, his pressure was perfect and he divided up the hour leaving my whole body feeling relaxed all over. The treatment rooms are nice, too, providing a view of the water and the city skyline all under cozy sheets.
Back to the water course, they have steam baths, plunge pools, saunas, an outdoor garden with waterfalls and multiple pools -- slightly heated, bathlike water temp and then a very hot outdoor hot tub. The locker rooms were immaculately maintained. There is also a restaurant with an outdoor cafe and sun deck where I had tuna tataki with flageolet and heirloom tomato salsa before I left.
