  • GoodRoad is awesome. I have to give credit where it's due. They make great cider and mead! I love craft beer and I love the scene it has around Charlotte. A lot of people count cider out of it or just dismiss it because it's not beer. The folks here at GoodRoad put just as much work or more as the other breweries in town and down the road. I admit if I had the choice and I had an IPA and a cider right in front of me I would choose the beer. But that's not the case for all of my friends. So it's nice that Charlotte has places to cater to everyone's taste. I really like Mead.. it's different and has a great sweet taste to it. It's very clean tasting. I'm really surprised that GoodRoad hasn't had more people in it the times I have visited. It's in a good area, walking distance from a lot of places with food and fun. They have a wonderful and very clean taproom with helpful employees. Plenty of room and space for renting part or all of it out. They have games and coloring books and snacks at a dollar per scoop. I hope that they continue to gain popularity and keep on cranking out awesome cider and mead!
