| - It is unfortunate I'm downgrading my review about McLeans, one of my favourite Montreal pubs. We came with friends last Saturday to watch the Canadiens match as this has been always one of the best places for hockey night. We were surprised at first McLeans kept showing NFL instead of switching to the pre game. So far so good, there were American football fans sitting at the bar, let them enjoy, but the NFL game remained on even after the hockey one started. The most frustrating part was the fact that all the customers in the pub kept complaining to the personnel to put the hockey game on and we heard one pretty arrogant statement, what do you want, we are showing the game. We were ten minutes into the hockey match when they finally put the sound on, but still didn't show hockey on the main screen. By then we paid our check and left. So did most of the clients who haven't ordered food.
Conslusion, McLeans is not a place I will choose for hockey night from now on. If McLeans wants to be known as the best place in town for NFL games, please announce it and stop distributing to the customers your hockey menu. By the way the beer battered pickles are horrible, they should be removed from the menu or if McLeans plans to show NFL games, they'd better learn how to prepare a typical for the Southern States speciality.
