Firstly I do not believe Raymond is here anymore (there was a "situation" that involved the police - it was even posted on Yelp but seems to have been removed). That being said let's move on.
Just like my review of Bamboo (my regular place) - Suiki is dependant on who you receive as your massage therapist - I have had good, and I have had bleh.
a) Price is good - but Bamboo is a bit cheaper
b) This is not a spa experience - but clean environment (I do find Bamboo a bit more modern than Suiki)
c) I like a deep massage - and I found my therapists here that only one was amazing - the other girls it was just "routine" and felt very mechanical with no intuitive knowing or care for how the client preferred their massage
d) walk-in is easy here (not too busy)
e) Tea was served in polysyrine cupes (YUK), Bamboo down the road served nice quality loose leaf green tea in a pot in small china tea cups (so a little more environmental and less toxic on the body)
f) the massage oil seemed to be Petroleum Jelly (sorry the brand name escaped me)...however, I have noticed other Massage Places in Chinatown use the same thing - so I believe they must just buy in bulk and it keeps the costs down.
I was coming here for a bit - but moved onto Bamboo - but now my regular guy has left Bamboo to go to Calgary - and now seeking another spot (but I have tried most of them already - and it's really a matter of being lucky enough to get a good therapist - as it's a bit hit and miss, and all the places are around the same price-point)
