Hot yoga studio, for sure. If you want a hard hot workout you will get one. This is not a place for people that have never taken yoga. I am not sure some of the stuff that they do in the power classes is actually yoga and if its safe for a room that is 104 degrees. Also, the owner Sarah has this rule that you can't leave class! So if you are dizzy, need to go to the bathroom or just need some cool air from the hallway she freaks. She actually comes out and yells at you and makes you come back in. That's right she stops teaching the class and makes you feel like something is wrong with you for being dizzy doing jumping lunges in a 104 degree room. I have been to numerous yoga studios in Charlotte and I have never been to one that doesn't let you leave the class. Also, she locks the door to the business once the class starts so you cannot leave. I'm pretty sure this is a fire hazard! Or shes too cheap to pay someone to sit and watch the front desk. I personally always have to use the bathroom halfway through class and feel like I have to hold off on water since I am not allowed to leave. How is that relaxing?
There are some good instructors there, Pam , Sandy, Emily and Mary. I just pick and choose what teachers I take classes from. I will never take Sarah's class again.
