The technology and the entire setup that go into producing this show is just astounding. I am not sure how this compares with the the other Cirque du Soleil productions on the Strip, but I would at least go to one on your trip.
I wish there was a better plot, it's very hard to follow the continuity of the acts when there is no emotional attachment with the characters. I remember the acts with the clowns rather vividly, mostly because they had a short and cute plot. I suppose I am being a bit naive here, there was a plot but it was rather hard to follow, especially given that the acts don't have spoken words.
The acts that seemed to have include a member of the audience was great - it really added to the fun and the excitement, so keep doing those!
During the fire act, the large mirror hanging from the ceiling wasn't correctly positioned so it gave us a bit of a painful glare from three blue dots. This kept on going for about five or so minutes which is not the most pleasant experience, I had to put my hand in front of my eyes to block the glare. You should be able to see the glare sitting anywhere in section 203 (we were on row T).
