I would highly NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL!!!
I went here last night around 10:30 pm. My son had diarrhea and constant vomiting. The Nurses here don't know how to deal with kids in an age appropriate manner. This hospital cares more about having the shortest wait times over nursing a child back to health. They were rushing patients in and out to be able to have more empty rooms. Triage nurses were not compassionate. They made me son walk up to the window just to put a band on him. They should have came out to the lobby to do that considering the fact my child was weak from constantly vomiting. Nurses are too busy playing in there hair as opposed to checking on the patients. They were too incompetent to run tests or do any type of bloodwork on my son. They didn't even start an IV for his dehydration. They gave him liquid Motrin for a fever which he immediately threw up. Instead of giving him medicine in an IV. Most nurses in this department are fresh out of school and have no real knowledge of different types of illnesses. Most of the nurses acted like they were scared of vomit. I would suggest picking another profession...all kids vomit. The doctor was nice but kinda rough with my son and he was obviously rushed which isn't his fault. The doctor told me my son had a stomach bug? How would they know that without doing any blood work?!?! An hour later they brought my son in a popsicle and said "if he keeps this down you guys can leave." After all this all they did was give my son a prescription for an anti-nausea medication. All this hospital cares about is your money. I'm so disappointed in this hospital. I see all the great advertising I hear is false speaking from my experience. I would never return here!!! I'll go to the hospital in Henderson. Las Vegas hospitals are horrible compared to the care in California.
