  • Brought my own HDMI cable so I could watch Netflix on the in-room TV from my laptop. Turns out they have electronically blocked all external video and force you to pay $17 per movie. Front desk confirms they have removed this functionality from TVs. I was at a Marriott two weeks ago that not only allowed me to connect my laptop, but they had video cables in the desk drawer! I will avoid Hilton hotels from now on.
